Chystaná a nevydaná anglická verze LP Od narození skupiny Kern vychází poprvé digitálně!

Z obalu připravovaného LP 11 1214-1: The very first hit single "Near To Us" by the rock group KERN, produced by the record company Supraphon in spring 1988 left a mark on its listeners and unexpectedly mixed the ratings of the Top Ten best selling single in Czechoslovakia. In the same uncompromising manner the group burst into the Czechoslovak television hitparade where the viewers' votes carried it up to the top award "The Golden Triangle".

Their next single released in autumn of the same year was immediately sold out, and when it received the "Rainbow Record" awarded to the most popular records of the past year, it was no wonder that KERN was accepted by the fans as a well-known and successful team. And a good team, in which hard work and shared views on music, combine with friendship. My boys realize that they haven't reached the stage of sold-out concert halls, recording studios and live TV shows by a mere desire to be famous and successful fast, but by an honest musician's job. That is why, despite the current boom of heavy metal music with Czech audiences, the group doesn't try to match at all costs the world's famous groups in their sound and appearance. Avoiding the usual melody clichés their music binds together harmonic turns, melodic lines of Moraviann folk songs and a pulsating rhythmic base. Even in this age choking with music,

KERN proved their ability to play music their own way at the beginning of 1989, with another single which remained among the top ten bestselling records until the end of the year. "Explosion" wasn't only the name of a song: it also meant the "big band" for the group, giving it a firm place at the top of the Czech music scene, the confirmation of which was yet another award in the TV hitparade (The second Golden Triangle). This has also contributed to the fact that the group is now shown on television screens more often.
